This summer we have reached 50 years of age, receiving guests from all over the world, making it pioneers in the world of rural tourism in Galicia and the first in all of Spain.
Casa Raúl was born as a farmhouse in 1968 as the first house in Galicia to welcome guests to share with them as was the life of this small village of Lires. Since then, three generations of the family have enjoyed the company of travelers from all corners of the world, opening the doors of their house to anyone who wants to enjoy the beautiful corners of the Costa da Morte in a quiet and familiar environment. This is our sign of identity, renewed facilities that have kept their origin in a place where to share experiences and renew emotions.
It all started in the 1960s, when the Agrarian Extension Service implemented various agricultural training and domestic economy programmes, among others. These were carried out through the establishment of a plant, groups of young people attending the workshops with the aim of carrying out community works such as water or road asphalt. In this way an innovative experience called rural tourism began.
The first guests arrived on the day when the man stepped on the moon and that family Vallisoleta that came for what would in principle be 4 or 5 days became three weeks, which was the most they could miss their work. No doubt a historic event that adds to the history of our house.
